About Apollo Trampoline Club

Apollo Trampoline Club was founded by Bill Leach in 1973 and has gone from strength to strength over the years, thanks to his hard work and dedication. Apollo has produced a number of high level performers and is the home training centre for two time Olympian, Kat Driscoll. Apollo has developed a reputation for providing a high level of coaching and in 2017 we have an elite team of 8 performers, all of whom have qualified for the British Championships at Liverpool in September.

The club also has a strong base of recreational gymnasts as well as a large representation at varying levels of competition including British Gymnastics NDP levels and the National Trampoline League. All gymnasts are encouraged to develop to the best of their ability, however entering into competitions is optional and would be done only on the advice of a coach.

The club is based at Washington Leisure Centre, The Galleries, Town Centre, Washington NE38 7SS.

Hourly sessions run on a drop in basis and are all mixed ability. Current costs are £5 per hour for non-members*, £4.50 for Bronze BG members & £4 for silver BG members. *Please note a gymnast may attend a maximum of 6 sessions as a trial, after which they must join both British Gymnastics and Apollo Trampoline Club. This is necessary for insurance purposes.

Coaches

The club has a selection of coaches who are detailed below. At all sessions there is a minimum of 2 coaches but usually more. We aim to have a maximum of 6 children per bed at any one time however due to the drop in nature of the club this can not be guaranteed.
